Most container suppliers writing about New Tecumseth describe Honda as a “regional employer.” That framing understates the situation. Alliston is Honda’s Canadian assembly hub. Plant 1 sits at 4700 Industrial Parkway, Plant 2 at 6900 Industrial Parkway. The two plants employ approximately 4,200 people building Civics, CR-Vs, and the components that feed them. Honda announced a multi-billion-dollar expansion in 2024 that adds an EV assembly plant and a standalone battery manufacturing facility on the same Alliston grounds, with operations scheduled to come online in 2028 and add more than 1,000 manufacturing jobs.

That single fact reshapes the entire container market in New Tecumseth. Tier-2 and Tier-3 Honda suppliers operating yards in and around Alliston need overflow storage on a continuous schedule, not a seasonal one. Simcoe Parts Service and F&P Manufacturing are two of the named local suppliers; many more operate as smaller satellites along Industrial Parkway, the 50 corridor, and the side roads that connect Alliston to the 400. Container demand here is dominated by working farms, hobby farms, and small-business owners along Beeton’s commercial strip. Rural-zoned placements are the easiest in the entire Town; downtown Beeton residential lots are the most restrictive.

Tottenham

The northern urban centre, growing on the strength of GTA-commuter residential development. Renovation overflow demand is strong here, with homeowners running additions and basement finishes that need temporary storage on the lot. Picking the Right Grade for a New Tecumseth Placement

Three urban cores, three different jobs for the same steel box. The grade question in New Tecumseth usually answers itself once you name the job:

Brantford to Alliston is approximately 135 kilometres up Highway 400 to Highway 89 west into the Honda corridor. Off-peak our tilt-deck flatbeds run it in about an hour and twenty minutes. Beeton sits a few kilometres east of Alliston; Tottenham is about 15 kilometres further north on Highway 50.
