Van Blanc Ent. Inc. (“we,” “us,” “Van Blanc”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit vbinc.ca, request a quote, or arrange a container delivery, and how we handle it under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Contact information you give us: name, phone, email, delivery address, and the container details you ask about, submitted through our quote forms, email, or phone calls.
- Site usage data: anonymous browser type, device, pages visited, and referring source, collected through standard web analytics.
- Cookies: small files that remember your session and help us understand which pages are useful. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
How we use it
- To respond to your quote requests and arrange delivery from one of our four Brantford yards.
- To coordinate with our delivery drivers when scheduling a drop-off.
- To occasionally follow up with customers about service quality.
- To improve the site and our service area pages based on aggregate usage.
What we don’t do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run aggressive remarketing campaigns. We do not require deposits over the phone. If any website ever asks you to e-transfer money to a personal account or pressures you to pay before seeing a container, that is a scam (and one of the reasons we publish this notice plainly).
Who we share information with
The only third parties who see your information are:
- Our delivery contractors: they need your address and phone number to drop off your container.
- Standard website infrastructure: our hosting provider (Cloudways/Vultr) and email service handle the technical delivery of forms and emails. They do not use this data for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Quote and customer records are kept for as long as we have an active business relationship plus seven years for accounting and warranty purposes (standard Canadian small-business retention). You can ask us to delete or correct your information at any time.
Your rights under PIPEDA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update it.
- Withdraw consent (we will tell you what that means for your active orders).
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we have mishandled your data.
