Kingston is the eastern edge of our standard service area. The drive from our Brantford yard is approximately 350 kilometres east on Highway 401. That works out to roughly three and a half to four hours of freight time on a normal weekday, and it lands the tilt-deck truck at Kingston city limits with the driver still rested enough to handle final placement at the customer’s site. Facebook scams targeting Eastern Ontario waterfront buyers

The Facebook Marketplace shipping container scam runs through the Kingston and Thousand Islands waterfront market every season. The pattern targets recreational-property buyers specifically because the storage need feels seasonal and the buyer is often willing to take a small chance on what they think is a low-stakes transaction. The trap is the same: a listing priced exactly one thousand dollars below legitimate yards, a deposit request via e-transfer, and a delivery date set far enough out that the listing disappears before the bank window for reversal closes.

Many Kingston buyers call us saying they can get a bin for a thousand dollars less on Facebook. Two weeks later they call back saying they got scammed.
